Mitchell Fitness Systems, Inc.

Coach Trent

I've been involved in the fitness industry pretty much my whole life! From Little League through College, I've played football, basketball, ran track, and hit a few baseballs as well!

Vicki and I were married in 1982 and we have three grown children. From 1988 to 1993, I hosted a nationally syndicated show called American Muscle Magazine on ESPN. It was a lot of fun and I met some very interesting people like 8 time Mr. Olympia Lee Haney and Arnold's training partner Franco Columbo among many other bodybuilding champions and actors as well.

Competing in bodybuilding was an awesome experience and after a 23 year absence, I competed in and won the Excalibur Bodybuilding Championship at the age of 51. Helping people to be healthy and to watch them reach their fitness goals is a blessing and motivating factor in my life!

It's been a privilege to train and work with so many people for over 40 years helping them achieve their health and fitness goals. But, just in case your worried about this old man...don't be! I'm still 230 lbs and 13% body fat, and I still love what I do!

In 1982, I graduated Cum Laude from Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO where I played quarterback for the Vikings. I earned my Masters degree in Human Movement from AT Still University in Mesa, AZ.

Currently, I'm working with select clientele both in-person and online. If you're looking to improve yourself and be better, I'm confident I or one of my certified coaches can help you achieve your goals. We've always been a family owned and operated business. We practice what we preach and teach --  and have a ton of fun in the process!

Coach Thomas

Hi my name is Thomas and I've been a personal trainer since 2013.

Helping people reach their health and fitness goals is what I like to do.

I'm passionate about not just facilitating smart and efficient workouts but also teaching my clients how to do it on their own.

Maybe not the best business model but I want my clients to have success not just while they are working with me, but for the rest of their lives.

Some non-work things that I enjoy are cooking, going to the beach, hiking, building computers, and playing video games. I enjoy doing these things most when accompanied by my wife Michelle, and my dog Bomi.

Coach Michelle

Hi! My name is Michelle, but you can call me Meesh.

My athletic endeavors started when I was six years old and my parents signed me up for AYSO (recreational soccer). I loved it so much, I joined a club soccer team in middle school with the goal of playing for UCLA.

An ACL injury forced me to give up that dream, but I identified as an athlete and I definitely was not going to give that up.

Once I finished physical therapy for my ACL repair, I started weight training. From there, all I wanted to do was learn about the human body; I was fascinated by its ability to adapt and recover, and I wanted to understand how so many systems could work together so (seemingly) flawlessly.

Fast forward a few years and I received a degree in Human Biology from UC Santa Cruz.

I have worked or interned in various settings trying to find my niche, from shadowing physicians in hospitals and urgent cares, to working as a physical therapy aide, as well as being on the management team at a rock climbing gym.

What I know now is that I love learning about all things health and fitness, and I love coaching people.

My most rewarding experiences as a manager have been helping my team members grow, not just as employees, but as people. I know I've done a good job when they no longer need me - they are ready to take what they've learned and share it with someone else.

I believe it is crucial that this same mindset is applied to personal training. The trainer and client are a team. My goal is to help you grow, reach your goals, and prioritize your health so that you have the confidence to share what you've learned with others.

In the end, I want to share my passion with my community. When I'm not working I'm probably still hanging around the gym, either lifting, running or eating. Because the only thing I love more than working out is food. Other things I enjoy: brewing kombucha, attempting to keep houseplants alive, and binge watching Netflix shows like there's no tomorrow.
